Hi Emily! Shiloh is a wonderful book. It really deals with a sensitive issue of animal abuse. I remember reading this book to my third graders a few years ago, and we had a lot of discussion about our feelings about animal abuse. I really think Marty did the right thing, as he demonstrated love and the ability to care for Shiloh. Thank you for your thoughtful response to a great book!

Dear Emily,
I think that guy would not abuse the dog. That was really bad I thought instead he shuould of went inside and call the cops and if the cops did not come he should of went inside and grab a bat and hit him with it.He also could of get a rope and get him and grab him with a rope.
